Why birth at home?
Some women choose home birth simply for the peace and comfort of a familiar space. Some choose home birth because they desire low-intervention care without restrictions. Some choose home birth to cope with previous birth traumas in a medical facility. Some have a strong desire to deliver in water, or in positions and circumstances that wouldn't be honored in the hospital setting. Some want to only give birth in the presence of those they love and trust. Some love the continuity of care when seeing the same midwife from start to finish. Some women choose home birth because they simply want control over their own body and their own plan. Whatever your reason is for exploring home birth, you can feel comfortable knowing that you and your wishes will be respected every step of the way.

Our Services
Moonstone midwifery provides prenatal services, home birth services, and postpartum services- all under the personable and knowledgeable care of a Certified Nurse Midwife/Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. We also offer well-woman care, assistance with family planning and fertility, and other women's health services.
